Frequently asked questions
Everything about deleting many iPhone apps at once with iUninstall.
Can I delete multiple iPhone apps at once?
Yes. iUninstall is a Mac app that deletes many iPhone apps in one batch. Connect your iPhone to your Mac with a cable, select the apps that you want to remove, and confirm one time. iUninstall removes the apps one after the other and checks that each app is gone.
What do I need?
A Mac with macOS 15 Sequoia or later, your iPhone, and a USB cable. Your iPhone must trust your Mac: when you connect it for the first time, tap Trust on the iPhone. You do not need iTunes, Xcode, or a jailbreak.
Is iUninstall free?
The download and the scan are free. You see all your apps with their sizes, and the apps that you do not open. To delete apps, you buy iUninstall one time for $9.99. There is no subscription.
Does deleting an app also delete its data?
Yes. When iUninstall deletes an app, the app and its documents and settings on the iPhone go too. This is the same as when you delete an app on the iPhone. Data that the app keeps in iCloud stays in iCloud. You can download most apps again from the App Store, and the History in iUninstall has a link for each deleted app.
Can iUninstall delete an app by mistake?
iUninstall never deletes an app that you did not select, and it deletes nothing before you confirm the list. You can mark apps as protected, so they are never selected. During a batch, you can click Stop After This App.
How does iUninstall know which apps I do not use?
Your iPhone can share its Screen Time information with your Mac. iUninstall reads that information on your Mac and shows when you last opened your apps, for about the last 4 weeks. This is optional. Without it, you still see all your apps with their sizes and can select them yourself.
Does iUninstall upload my data?
No. iUninstall needs no account. Your app list and your Screen Time information stay on your Mac. Two things use the network: the optional App Store lookup sends the bundle IDs of your apps to the public App Store of Apple, and the license activation sends your license key to Dodo Payments.
How many apps can I delete in one batch?
There is no fixed limit. Select 10, 50, or all the apps that you installed. iUninstall deletes them one after the other and checks each one.
Which iPhones and iOS versions work?
iUninstall is tested with iOS 27. It connects with the same USB protocol that the Mac uses for an iPhone, so it does not need special software on the iPhone. Your Mac needs macOS 15 Sequoia or later.
Does it work over Wi-Fi?
Use a USB cable. A cable is the method that we test and support.
Can I delete Apple's built-in apps?
No. iUninstall lists the apps that you installed. Built-in Apple apps are not in the list.
What if an app does not delete?
iUninstall marks the app as failed and shows the reason in the list. Keep the iPhone unlocked and connected, then click Try Again. An app that iUninstall did not delete stays on the iPhone, unchanged.
Can I get a deleted app back?
You can download most apps again from the App Store. The History in iUninstall lists each deleted app with a link to its App Store page. The data of the app on the iPhone does not come back. Data in iCloud stays.
Does deleting an app cancel its subscription?
No. Deleting an app does not cancel its in-app subscriptions. To cancel one, open Settings on the iPhone, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
Is the purchase a subscription?
No. You pay $9.99 one time. The purchase unlocks deleting on your Mac and does not expire. All updates of version 1 are included.
How do I activate my purchase?
After the purchase, you get a license key by email. In iUninstall, click Delete, then paste the key and click Activate. You can also enter the key in Settings › License.
Can I use my license on a new Mac?
Yes. On the old Mac, open Settings › License and click Deactivate This Mac. Then activate the key on the new Mac.
Why does iUninstall ask for Full Disk Access?
Only for the optional Screen Time feature. macOS keeps the Screen Time information that your iPhone shares in a private place, and only apps with Full Disk Access can read it. iUninstall reads only the Screen Time information. Without Full Disk Access, iUninstall still lists and deletes apps.
Is iUninstall made by Apple?
No. iUninstall is an independent app that runs on your Mac. It is not affiliated with Apple.
